 The Gates of Zion

Mission Statement

The Gates of Zion is a non-denominational christian organization whose primary mission since 2003 has been to provide services to disabled people across the USA.  Since the internet will be a significant communications tool to help The Gates of Zion reach its intended audience, we will also provide the necessary free internet training tools and services to the disabled from this website, through small home-group churches that will meet regularly in homes across the USA and to every nation of the world, as well as through our weekly radio broadcast.

Welcome To The Gates of Zion Home Page of Our Home Church

A little about our denomination
The Gates of Zion is a traditional, non-dogmatic, non-doctrinal/non-denominational church with a focus on sharing the gospel of the our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to others around the world.  Our beliefs are that this is best accomplished through smaller, more personal, home churches that can meet the personal and the spirirual needs of its members. One of our goals is to separate ourselves from the large impersonal lukewarm corporation churches that seem to plague America today.  Just because these churches are so big, there is no way that they can meet the needs of every person attending their services, and so we wish to just focus on sharing the gospel, and staying close to one another though a core of a small group setting.

Ideally, we'd like to be able to worship our Lord Jesus Christ unadulterated and unencumbered by rules and regulation that have also taken over modern day worship services, but in today's world that's simply not going to happen, because of various governmental agencies attempting to stick their noses into our private worship services, in order to be sure that we are not being "politically incorrrect" in saying something that may offend somewone somewhere.

Most of today's larger christian church organizations are incorporated under Section 501C3 of the tax code.  This type of church structure basically translates into a list of do's and don'ts that are provided to the church by a detached government entity that attempts to try to control the belief's and behavior's of the citizen's of the Christian church.  The Gates of Zion finds this intrusion on our freedom of worship simply unacceptable.

As a church organization, we very much embrace the lessons that our American forefathers were trying to teach us. They understood that there would be differences in denominations as that each groups would worship our Lord in their own unique way.  We understand that this uniqueness continues in our preferences in the styles of worship, in doctrine, in interpretation of the scriptures and are very accommodating in most facets of Christian doctrine as long as we agree on this most important issue, the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ.  They understood that the journey that people take to come to their realization of a need for a savior is as unique as the people themselves.  For this reason, they wrote the First Amendment to our Constitution to permit the free exercise of religion.

Our American forefathers purposed to enable each and every American citizen the freedom to worship our Creator according to the dictates of our conscience. Our forefathers never intended for our religious practices and beliefs be confined to a government who would stamp its approval of our worship centers with the words 'IRS Approved' on the outside of every church building.

We are NOT a church that believes in the doctrine "If it feels good, believe it".  Far from it.  You won't find that doctrine taught here. The first and foremost doctrine that this organization feels that the christian church of today is not recognizing, is the simple fact of our sin nature.  And that simple fact is something that most of us simply don't like to talk about, yet it's an essential part of why we needed Jesus Christ to come to this earth in the first place.

When we say that our organization recognizes that every man's journey to finding Jesus Christ as Lord is unique, we're really saying that every man is obliged to follow the dictates of his own God-given conscience. We also recognize that we, as mere men, are not perfect and that we've all got blind spots and character flaws.  If any person's or church member in this organization has a belief or a doctrine that deviates too far from the biblical standards, then we. The gates of Zion, reserve the right to remove that person or parish from our denomination in accordance with the steps outlined in the scriptures.

We also universally reject the "separation of church and state" myth. Our American forefathers never intended for us to hang up our faith, along with our hats and our heads, in order to enter into a partnership with the government.  Unfortunatly, ever church in America that's ablished itself as a 501C3 church organization, has done just that, and we feeel that the Lord has revealed this to us, so that we will take this knowledge he has give us and share that information with other church organizations across the USA.  And it is to that end that we require the assistance of many individuals and church groups to team with us in educating the protestant christian church of our findings.

Are you aware that in addition to forming a church under Section 501C3 of the IRS Tax Code, that there's also another section, Section 508 of the IRS Tax Code, that provides another alternative to a Section 501C3 church structure?  This section of the tax code permits the tax exempt status of a church without all of the direct encumbrances of government regulations found under Section 501C3 of the tax code.

Our organization would be happy to show you the pros and cons of each church organization option. We'd also like to show you what happens and the complexities of a church organization owning real estate.

Our Goal

Our goal is to have a home church that is truly free to preach the gospel without any governmental intrusion whatsoever, and to neither be taxed nor terminated.  Although it was eventually overturned, there once was a court ruling that declared that the power of the government to tax was the power to destroy.

We wish to create an abundance of churches that will operate outside of the governments auspices so that it doesn't matter if a church organization has the approval or the disapproval of any governmental agency whatsoever.  It should be free to operate under a true separation of powers between itself and the government, period, federal government or state government. it shouldn't matter.  Eventually, we don't want any christian church to have to beg for any government's permission to exist as a legal tax-exempt organization.

Our organization can provide you with all of the legal and necessary resources to navigate the complex legalities of setting up home churches. So now you have three options available to you:

    1. Remain a 501C3 organization under the control of the government.
    2. Become a completely separate and legal entity under Section 508 of the tax code, or
    3. Become a parish of the The Gates of Zion (our statements of faith can also be found on this web site).
For those who home school or are thinking about doing so in the near future, you will find that the "home church" actually complements the "home school."   Scripture exhorts us to "train up a child in the way he should go, [so that] when he is old he will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:5-7) This generation has abdicated this important God-given responsibility to the government and has the allowed it to train our children in the way that it thinks they should go. Simultaneously, be aware that the burden on the home school teacher is tremendous. Not only does the home school teacher pay for hisher child's education at home, but also for an empty seat in a local classroom somewhere. This is a tremendous injustice!

Whether you Home School or Home Church, we can help you decide which option is best for you.
